This issue of Research Features magazine features the fascinating work of researchers in the area of Health Science, running from Neuroscience to Child Health via Genetics, Obesity, Molecular Bioscience and Technology. We were delighted to speak to these researchers more closely about their work – we’re sure you’ll find it fascinating.

You’ll also be interested to hear from some of the international Thought Leaders in Health Science that we spoke to for this issue. Dr Freda Miller and Dr Julie Poupart from The Canad ian Association for Neuroscience were able to give an insider’s perspective on the organisation’s role at the forefront of neuroscience in Canada.

Inserm (the French National Institute of Health & Medical Research) is the leading academic biomedical research institution in Europe. Professor Yves Lévy shares his insight as CEO and Chair of the institute.  While over in Scotland, Professor Rhian Touyz outlines the aims of the the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Science (ICAMS) at the University of Glasgow.

Dr Marina Cavazzana is a Professor of Hematology and co-director of research laboratory at Imagine Institute on the campus of Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital, Paris. She shares her ground-breaking work into gene therapy with us.

We were delighted to have a global mix of researchers featured this issue. The continued effort to improve health around the world is one we can all get behind. And it is our pleasure to be celebrating it this issue.
