I really enjoyed working with the staff at Research Features and was very pleased with the resultant article. The feature presented my work in a way that made it accessible and exciting to non-specialists while still maintaining the scientific rigor. I particularly enjoyed the fact that I could integrate my ideas on the importance of basic science within a piece describing our research on a pressing human disease.

The editorial team at Research Features was very professional and a joy to work with. The writing and layout for the article were outstanding and the team communicated with me every step of the way. I am so pleased with the final article which has beautiful graphics and a very polished look. The article will allow our research to reach individuals and organizations that may not access the typical scientific journals and raise our profile.

It was an extremely satisfying experience working with the Research Features Team. The team asked for specific information to be included in the article and provided simple instructions that were very easy to follow. I was particularly impressed with the incisive questions for which I was asked to provide detailed responses. In retrospect, these questions really allowed the article to capture the flavor of our research endeavors. I sent a limited number of illustrations to the team that were reproduced beautifully in the final version of the article. I was unprepared for just how fabulous the final article looked. I took a copy of the journal where he article appeared to a meeting of the Penn SRP Center investigators.

There was universal enthusiasm at the meeting regarding the production quality and the impact of the text. Perhaps more importantly, I will have a trifold version of the article to take with me to lectures, visits to EPA and industry, as well to meetings with other stakeholders involved in funding the Center. I anticipate that this will be a tremendous asset in justifying the work done at Penn by our NIEHS-funded SRP Center.

I was very pleased with the article produced by Research Features. This article presented our research in a manner that was accessible and could be understood by the general public.

The article was illustrated beautifully and the layout drew attention to it. The editorial team was professional and a joy to work with. They oversaw the creation of the article, much of the written text and the layout of the final article. I was included in all steps of the process and my approval was required for most of these steps. It was important to me that I was able to review and approve the drafts, especially the final draft, prior to publication.

The online distribution and availability through multiple social media outlets allowed for more visibility; many of my friends and colleagues commented on the article prior to me realizing it was online. I already have 100s of likes on Facebook.

I want to express what an enjoyable experience it was to work with Ms. Emma Feloy and the editorial team to create a wonderful article highlighting my current research. I was given complete oversight of the article content, able to edit as I saw fit and given final approval before publication. I was overwhelmed and delighted to view the finished article – the graphics were beautifully presented and the article was magnificent and professionally done on the online version of Research Features and the hard copy.

I found Research Features to be a wonderful forum to highlight current issues in cutting-edge science and medicine presented in a reader friendly format such that it reaches a wide audience. My University posted my Research Features article on the campus-wide televised system. It was pleasure to work with such a professional, friendly team and I hope to work with them in the future.
